Project Background
The flagship project is a new marine diesel engine assembly line for 14/16-cylinder engine production used in power-generation applications. The customer is an intelligent equipment / machinery OEM serving the powertrain and diesel generator-set industry.
Automation Challenge
The line required multi-station coordination, heavy engine handling, gantry turnover, automatic tightening, KUKA robot loading, PLC master and distributed station control, HMI/SCADA monitoring and coordinated VFD / servo drive systems.
